Newcastle native Lewis Ritson co main events Lock Stock Promotions’
Dinner Event this coming Saturday at Glasgow’s Marriott Hotel

Former ABA finalist Ritson has made a solid start to life as a pro
under the guidance of Billy Nelson and Lock Stock Promotions. ‘The
Sandman’ has picked up 7 wins from his opening 7 contests with 2
coming inside the scheduled distance. Ritson’s last outing saw him
pick up the International Challenge belt after stopping tough Georgian
Mikheil Avakyan inside five rounds.

Ritson now turns his attention to firstly the 30th of January at
Glasgow’s Marriot hotel where he faces Daniel Bazo who has been in
with the likes of highly rated Declan Geraghty and Ryan Mulcahy.
Ritson features on a card that include former British, Commonwealth,
European and WBU World Champion Willie Limond as well as two former
Scottish amateur stars Kieran Smith and Jason Easton. The now Glasgow
based Ritson has shared a ring in sparring with Easton as well as
David Brophy in preparation for his upcoming contests,

“I’ve been working on movement with Billy and have become a more well
rounded fighter since entering the pro’s. I’ve had great sparring with
Jason Easton and Willie Limond mainly and also did ten rounds with
Brophy last week so I’m feeling really sharp”.

Lock Stock Promotions have Ritson penciled in to fight for the WBC
Youth title on March 19th, something the Forest Hall Lightweight is
excited about,

“I’m really looking forward to fighting for the WBC Youth title in
March. I’m looking forward to taking a step up in class and showing
the fans the level I am at. I am not looking past my next two contests
but if the opportunity came I’d take a fight for the British title
tomorrow.”

Lewis who spent his amateur career at Welterweight where he boxed
internationally will be looking to put on two excellent displays in
his upcoming bouts. You can see them both live as tickets are
available for both shows at the Marriott hotel and Bellahouston
Leisure Centre by contacting the boxers direct via social media or by
visiting Main Events Sports, Airdrie.
