Brophy added to 27th February MGM Promotions Scotland Card in Glasgow

David Brophy has been added to MGM Promotions Scotland’s 27th February Card in Glasgow as he awaits a crack at a major title in 2016.

The undefeated Super Middleweight returns to action after earning a 10 round points victory of Tobias Webb in Edinburgh last December. The contest at Meadowbank Sports Centre was a fight of the year candidate with both men being hurt in a contest which saw neither man took backward step.

Brophy who was awarded the contest 97-93 by referee Kenny Pringle has a big 2016 ahead of him. He has established himself as one of the figureheads of the MGM Promotions Scotland stable. The Caldercruix man not only delivers excitement but also brings a loyal army of supporters, generating a great atmosphere wherever ‘Brophs’ competes.

Brophy who is currently undefeated in 16 contests is eyeing up a tilt at the British, Commonwealth and/or international titles in 2016, and will look to impress at Glasgow’s Bellahouston Sports Centre on February 27th. An impressive performance will put Brophy directly in line for a big fight in the mid part of 2016.

The MGM Promotions Scotland bill on February 27th features Michael Roberts Jnr who also looks to crack on to a domestic title shot in 2016. Sam Kynoch trained Marc Kerr and Gary Murray feature alongside Motherwell Flyweight Adam Mackenzie as well as Falkirk’s Light Welterweight Stevie Beattie who makes his pro debut.
